“My view on the future is essentially optimistic because I don’t think there’s anything we’re facing as a society that we can’t fix. All it takes is the will. We just have to have the confidence to go for it. We have to demand better as people.”

Visionary landscapes, brilliant color. The hallmarks of Roger’s paintings are vivid color and dreamlike landcsapes or seascapes with his signature floating islands and organic buildings.

Mythical beasts. Many of Roger’s illustrations depict dragons or strange flying beasts in magical, otherworldly environments.

Eco-friendly, sustainable architecture. Roger’s designs for comfortable, affordable, feel-good homes are fluid and organic, much like his visionary worlds.

REMARKS:
Although Roger Dean’s masterful work became well-known in the 1970s through covers and graphic art for famous bands and artists such as Yes, Asia, Uriah Heep, and Steve Hackett, it was his exquisite paintings I fell in love with when I was in my twenties.

The worlds he creates are stunningly beautiful, rich in vibrant, deep colors and finely crafted detail. They have a compelling magnetism that draws the viewer into other realms alive with potential.

Many of my favorites are among his earlier works, but his recent paintings are just as captivating, filled with sweeping views alive with atmosphere, trees, strange creatures, and cool buildings I’d like to explore. Check out his beautiful online gallery for a taste of his wondrous worlds.
