I’ve been an artist since I was little, so it came quite naturally to do all the artwork for the book covers and interiors, Reality Raiders logos, and the images for my website. I craft the initial designs in Corel Painter or Zbrush and add the final enhancements in Photoshop.
For each of my publications (other than short stories), I designed colorful chapter headings to include within the text.
To Steal a Moon
The insignia on the left represents the House of Bálok and the one on the right represents the House of Izar.
The background is a depiction of the blood-splattered dirt floor of the Imperial Arena.
Descent of the Maw
The headings indicate the setting of the chapter, either the Pleiades, Sirius, or both.
Flare Shifter
The image depicts Ryder’s studio workbench and the gold collar he was working on at the onset of the flare.
Blood of the Prime
The image is a representation of Ti’angriel, the mysterious geometric city which Karra was led to in the Dreamcore by the elusive T’nari League.
Erin MacMichael is a visionary science fiction author and artist, creator of the T'nari Renegades series of novellas, novels, covers, and artwork.
